Part 3: Go Tell It

In the final message of The Greatest Gift series, “Go Tell It!”, Pastor Hans reminded the church that the indescribable gift of Jesus was never meant to be kept to ourselves, it was meant to be given away. Rooted in 2 Corinthians 9:15 and Luke 2:8–20, the sermon pointed to the shepherds as the original messengers of the gospel: ordinary people who encountered Jesus and immediately went out to tell others what they had seen and heard.

The Shepherds’ Response

When heaven announced the birth of Christ, the shepherds didn’t hesitate. They went, they saw, and they shared and the result was worship, wonder, and joy spreading to everyone who heard. Their story shows that encountering Jesus always leads to movement and proclamation.

Three Foundational Truths about Sharing the Gospel:

1. You Can Do It - Sharing the gospel isn’t reserved for theologians or professionals. Scripture repeatedly shows everyday people boldly telling their story:

  • The Gadarene man, the Samaritan woman, and the former blind man all shared what Jesus did for them and lives were changed.
  • You don’t need all the answers; you just need your testimony.

2. It’s Simple -The message of the gospel is clear and uncomplicated:

  • Jesus came
  • Jesus died for our sins
  • Jesus rose again

We simply tell what we’ve seen, heard, and experienced. The power is not in eloquence, it’s in truth.

3. It’s Powerful - The gospel carries the power of God unto salvation. When believers go and proclaim Jesus:

  • The Holy Spirit empowers the message
  • Healing, freedom, and joy follow
  • Ordinary people become effective witnesses with supernatural backing

From Acts through the Gospels, every time the message of Christ is preached, joy erupts, lives are transformed, and God confirms His Word with power.

A Call to Boldness

Pastor Hans emphasized that when we step outside the walls of the church and share Jesus, God supernaturally gets involved. The anointing doesn’t diminish, it increases the farther the message goes, because the need is greater. When believers boldly take the gospel into streets, cities, and broken places, God begins working His “stuff” in hearts.

The Overflow of Joy

When we give away The Greatest Gift, Jesus, joy becomes an unstoppable overflow. It doesn’t run dry. It multiplies. And just like the shepherds, we return glorifying and praising God for all we have seen and heard.

The message is clear:

Encounter Jesus → Go tell others → Watch God move → Live filled with joy.
