FOL Kids at Fountain of Life

Our children’s ministry offers a safe and fun learning environment where kids hear the gospel, worship God, and participate in activities. FOL Kids (K-5th grade) is open every Sunday during our morning services. Nursery (up to two years old) is available during every church service.

Your first visit

When you first visit, look for the children's ministry nursery areas. For safety purposes, you'll be asked some questions when you check your child(ren) in:

  • Parent/guardian name(s)
  • Child's name
  • Child's birthdate
  • Home address
  • Phone number
  • Any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your child

You and your child will receive matching name tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you keep the matching tag with you during service. Please keep this tag in a safe place during worship. For your child's safety, we do not release children to adults without receiving their matching tags.

FAQS

How will you get ahold of me if my child needs me?

At Elizabeth City campus, our media team will flash the code on your parent tag on the main screens in the sanctuary. At Edenton campus, you will receive a text message or a volunteer will personally communicate with you in the sanctuary.

How do you handle check in?

My child is nervous; can I stay in their classroom?

Because our children's ministry is a secure area, only our background-checked team members are permitted in the classrooms. We have an experienced team and many leaders who are capable of making sure each child is well cared for. If your child needs your attention, we will contact you.

Are your volunteers background checked?

Yes. Regardless of the role they play, every adult who serves in our children's ministry area has passed a background check. Beyond this, we prohibit any adult from being alone with a child. Teachers and volunteers serve in teams of two or more per room.

What curriculum do you use?

Kidstown uses the Orange curriculum to teach children about Jesus at their level. Orange encourages parents to continue the conversations their children are having at church in the home as well. Parents can download the ParentCue app onto their phones and be on-track with the lessons their kids are learning on Sunday at Kidstown.
