Pastor Hans Hess has been the senior pastor at Fountain of Life since 2009. Prior to this, he traveled extensively as an evangelist, served as Missions Director for Redemption Ministries, and planted a church in Sterling, Virginia.

As leader of FOL, his vision is to see souls saved, evangelize the community, disciple new believers, and participate in revival. Through livestream and television, he reaches thousands of people every week with the Gospel and regularly conducts evangelistic and healing services overseas. 

Pastor Hans is an active member of the scholarly community, holding a BA in ancient history from the University of Kentucky, an MDiv in practical theology from Regent University and is a PhD candidate in historical theology.

His book First Passage explores the foundation of Christianity and the transition through life as a new believer. He is also a gifted musician, releasing his debut album Set Free in 2013.

Pastor Hans has two children and one grandchild and makes his home in Camden, North Carolina.
