Hans Hess

Pastor Hans Hess has been the senior pastor at Fountain of Life since 2009. Prior to this, he traveled extensively as an evangelist, served as Missions Director for Redemption Ministries, and planted a church in Sterling, Virginia.

As leader of FOL, his vision is to see souls saved, evangelize the community, disciple new believers, and participate in revival. Through live stream and television, he reaches thousands of people weekly with the Gospel and regularly conducts evangelistic and healing services overseas. 

Pastor Hans is an active member of the scholarly community, holding a BA in ancient history from the University of Kentucky, an MDiv in practical theology from Regent University, and a PhD in historical theology.

His book First Passage explores the foundation of Christianity and the transition through life as a new believer. He is also a gifted musician, releasing his debut album Set Free in 2013.

Pastor Hans has two children and three grandchildren and makes his home in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, with his wife Dana.
